Ein zentrales Element der WOC ist das umfangreiche Vortragsprogramm, das mit über 70 geplanten Vorträgen in drei parallelen Streams aufwartet.
Hierbei legen wir großen Wert darauf, nicht nur namhafte Experten aus der Orchideenforschung und -zucht zu präsentieren, sondern auch jungen Rednern eine Plattform zu bieten, um ihre Ideen und Erkenntnisse einem breiten Publikum vorzustellen. Diese Mischung aus Erfahrung und frischem Denken wird die Diskussionen bereichern und neue Perspektiven eröffnen.
Das Vortragsprogramm wird durch eine wissenschaftliche Posterpräsentation ergänzt, die weiterführende Themen anschaulich darstellt. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei die Erkundung einzelner Arten und Gattungen. Die WOC bietet eine hervorragende Gelegenheit, neueste Erkenntnisse zu ausgewählten Orchideenarten sowie deren Bestäubern, Phylogenetik und Evolution zu präsentieren. Besonders spannend ist der Vergleich von Orchideen über (fast) alle Kontinente und Klimazonen hinweg, der zahlreiche Diskussionsansätze eröffnet.





Die Speaker der WOC 2026
Wir freuen uns, das vollständige Speaker-Line-up der World Orchid Conference 2026 in Dresden zu präsentieren!
Internationale Referenten – von etablierten Größen bis hin zu vielversprechenden Nachwuchstalenten – bringen spannende Vorträge mit: über Orchideen in ihren natürlichen Lebensräumen, über Kultivierung und Züchtung, über wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse und ökologische Zusammenhänge. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt auf dem Schutz und der Erhaltung dieser faszinierenden Pflanzen. Mit eindrucksvollen Bildern und fundierten Einblicken bieten die Präsentationen eine inspirierende Mischung aus Information und Leidenschaft. Alle Beiträge wurden sorgfältig ausgewählt, um neue Perspektiven zu eröffnen und den Austausch in den drei parallelen Konferenzsträngen zu fördern. Ob erfahrener Botaniker oder begeisterter Hobbygärtner – hier ist für jeden etwas dabei.
